Bullet Catching - Ted Annemann

Escenas:

El video:

In this original film from the 1930s, magician Ted Annemann is doing the bullet catching trick or stunt. The original film, before digitizing, was given to me by good friend and Annemann scholar Max Abrams before his untimely passing. The original is silent, I added the bg music from a cd of stock tracks.

In fact, as other youtube magicians noticed, it is a very easy trick that shouldn't have made this "Annewhat's his name guy" famous ! Even nowadays, you can still buy in magic shops the magnetic teeth he used !!! Or in some cereal boxes ! Any youtube magician who saves his art for posting comments or filming tutorials only is welcome to try this trick out anytime. (joking ;-)

Damn... a scam! You mean David Copperfield can't really fly either? Almost makes you lose your faith in stage magicians.

next your let everyone in on the fact that the quarter wasn't really in the kids or that the lady doesn't really get cut in half. wow, good thing you let us know it was a scam.

these were obviously not black powder guns, so there was no powder to load and no wands with wax. the "masked magician" reveals outdated and often simply incorrect methods (I mention this assuming that is where you got your explanation, perhaps not). They also mention that the police supplied the rifles and bullets. If you really want to disprove this explanation, check out Penn and Tellers bullet catch.

it's done by when stumping the gun load of powder and the bullet they put a piece of wax on the end of the white piece of their wand so the get it up and then they hide it in the hand and when they pretend to take it out of the mouth they just take it from their hand.

Annemann used a live bullet in his rifle.

you think...???
StopMotionMind (el 03/02/08 a las 5:21 pm)
This is a scam. Do you really think someone can actually catch a bullet with their mouth??? The average reaction time for an average human in .25 seconds.
